East opened their week of play with two strong offensive performances in a double header vs. Yankton's 13/14 team on July 17.
East and Yankton traded punches offensively in a back and fourth game until East opened up the game with five runs in the fourth inning, four runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth to win, 20-10.
Dylan Rymerson had two hits and a walk while driving in three runs. As a team, East reached base 10 times on walks.
Sawyer Mindt held Yankton to six hits and just one run in East's 7-1 game 2 win. Alex Strawn tripled and drove in a run for the East offense.
East would be swept later in the week against Yankton's 13U team in Yankton on July 20, falling 9-4 and 7-4 respectively in games 1 and 2.
Dylan Rymerson collected two hits and two RBIs but East could not keep up with Yankton's nine runs off of nine hits.
East didn't have much luck once again in game two as they fell 7-4. Peyton Lamb went 2-2 and walked once. Yankton's five runs in the bottom of the third inning created the separation they needed to defeat East.
East went on the road and split a double header with Watertown as they fell, 8-6 in game 1 and won, 10-8 in game 2.
Watertown scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead and the win. East committed six errors in the loss. Myles Rees doubled and singled twice while also driving in three runs.
East came back to win, 10-8 in game two. East got the game started with four runs in the first, but Watertown later took a 7-5 lead in the third inning until East took the lead back with five runs in the fourth. Robert Hutchinson and Seth Kippes each drove in two runs for East.
