West would roll in two games in Renner to open their week of play on July 9.
In game 1, West broke out for 19 runs to win 19-2. Sam Siegfried went 3-5 and drove in four baserunners as Ryan Rysavy struck out seven and allowed just 1 earned run in the five innings he pitched.
Game 2 was a wild, offensive outbreak for both teams as Renner and West combined for 25 hits and 31 runs. A five-run eighth inning for West broke a 13-13 tie that sent the game into extra innings.
Pierre was West's next destination as the two teams played a double header on July 10. West wouldn't have much luck in either game as they fell in a walk-off loss in game 1, 7-6 and was blanked 10-0 in game 2.
West returned to Sioux Falls for the Mid-Summer Classic as they looked to get back in the win column in their first game against Harrisburg on July 14. West was able to do just that by winning 5-3. Thomas Heilberger had three of West's four hits in the win. Ryan Rysavy earned the Win and Treyson Harty-Olsen came in to close the game.
West would continue their success against Mitchell later that afternoon. West put up 12 runs to defeat Mitchell, 12-4.
Back-to-back losses vs. Yankton and 13/14 East with scores of 10-5 and 13-0 respectively would conclude the weekend for West.
