The bats for both East and Watertown came alive in the first game of a double header on June 19 in Watertown. A game that featured 37 runs and 30 hits went to East as a seven-run top of the sixth inning was enough to give East a 22-15 win. Every East batter recorded a hit in the win as Kaleb Nyhaug finished with five RBIs from a 3-4 night at the plate.
Game two went to the home team as Watertown's four-run bottom of the fifth put them over East, 6-9. East made a late push in the game, and eventually took a one-run lead before Watertown responded just a half-inning later.
East participated in the Pierre Tournament June 23-24 in the state's capital city. Game one didn't go East's way as Sturgis opened up with a 13-2 win. Aiden Huwe recorded the only East hit in the game with a single.
East bounced back in their first game on June 24 with a 13-5 defeat over Onida. Gage Gasca hit two doubles and Joe Jacobson drove in three runs while East walked 10 times in the game.
After falling in the first game and winning the second, East would try to end the weekend on a high note against Mitchell later on June 24. One run on two hits was all East could put together in their 5-1 loss in four innings. The game was knotted up at 1 until Mitchell scored four runs in the top of the fifth
