West opened the week with a double header sweep on the road at Pierre. In game 1, West scored 10 runs in the second inning and never looked back from there as they would go onto win, 15-3. Seven of the nine West batters finished with hits as all nine players reached base in the game. The West baserunners combined to steal 15 bases in their impressive win.
West cruised in game 2, as well by defeating Pierre, 12-2. The stolen base number for West increased to 20 total for the game as all nine batters reached base yet again while combining for six hits and 10 walks.
In hopes to keep the red-hot offense rolling, West hosted Brandon Valley for two on June 6 at Harmodon Park. In the first game, Brandon Valley edged out an 8-6 win over West, despite West getting off to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Kyler Miritello drove in two runs on one hit for West.
No winner was declared in game two as West and Brandon Valley tied, 9-9. Noah Goodroad, Brody Bohnet and Ayden Dykstra each had two RBIs.
West was no-hit and blanked, 12-0 on June 8 in the 2 1/2 innings played in the first game of the Mitchell Tournament against Mitchell.
Pierre was next for West later that afternoon. West committed 11 errors in their messy, 13-6 loss. Miritello and Ethan Rames each collected two hits.
On June 9, West faced off with both Yankton and Mitchell and fell in both games with final scores of 16-3 and 9-1, respectively.
