Double Header vs. Mitchell May 27

East began their season on the road against Mitchell with a double header on May 27. Braiden Heiden led the way on the pitching mound by completing five innings while only giving up one hit and striking out eight. Offensively, Dayne Bartels and Tyler Boyum each had two RBIs in East's 6-2 win in game 1.

East was able to sweep Mitchell that night as game two resulted in a 9-5 East win. Dimitri Haan pitched a complete game on the mound as Logan Bakker drove in two runs on a double and a sacrifice fly..

 

Double Header vs. Rapid City Post 320 May 28

East won their third straight game at home against Rapid City Post 320 in the first of two games on May 28. Tyler Boyum had three RBIs off of three hits in the game as Nicholas Lounsbery earned the win and Dayne Bartels closed the game out in the seventh by striking out the side.

East extended their three game winning streak to four in their 13-3 win in game 2. Evan Hammer's triple in the bottom of the fifth increased East's lead to seven as Jacob Glovich provided East with another solid performance on the mound from their starting staff as the pitcher was able to throw a complete game while managing to give up just three runs.

 

Double Header vs. Renner May 31

The winning streak came to a close on May 31 in the first game of a double header against Renner. In a high scoring battle, East trailed 15-10 coming into the final inning. Their late comeback fell one run short as the four run inning was not enough. East collected 16 hits as Garrett Winblade went 4-5 with 3 doubles and Trey Runge homered to get the scoring started for East in the second inning.

East bounced back in game 2 as they were able to defeat Renner 17-4. A six run first and a six run sixth started and ended the game well for East. Trey Runge drove in five runs on three hits. Dayne Bartels pitched great as he allowed just one earned run and struck out nine.

 

Double Header vs. Mitchell June 3

East returned home for a double header against Mitchell as East was able to edge out a 6-5 win. Mitchell took an early lead but East evened up the score in the fourth inning at 4. Two runs in the bottom of the fifth were enough for East to claim the win. Evan Hammer went 3-3 and had 4 RBIs in the win.

East won yet another game in the second game of the double header against Mitchell. In his second start of the season, Haan pitched a complete game and allowed just one earned run.
