The Sioux Empire Baseball Association and Sioux Falls Post 15 have been awarded the 2021 Central Plains Tournament. The event will be hosted August 4th through August 8th at Sioux Falls Stadium (The Birdcage).

THE SIOUX EMPIRE BASEBALL ASSOCIATION IS HONORED TO HOST THE 2019 AND 2020 AMERICAN LEGION CENTRAL PLAINS REGIONAL BASEBALL TOURNAMENT. THE CENTRAL PLAINS TOURNAMENT IS ONE OF EIGHT QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS FOR THE AMERICAN LEGION WORLD SERIES, TO BE HELD IN SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA. SIOUX FALLS WILL WELCOME THE STATE CHAMPIONS FROM SOUTH DAKOTA, IOWA, NORTH DAKOTA AND WISCONSIN. THE STATE RUNNER-UPS FROM MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN AND POST 15 EAST OR WEST WILL FILL OUT THE EIGHT TEAM FIELD. THE TOURNAMENT WILL FOLLOW A DOUBLE ELIMINATION FORMAT, TAKING PLACE OVER FIVE DAYS. SIOUX FALLS STADIUM WILL SERVE AS THE HOST FACILITY WHILE HARMODON PARK WILL SERVE AS THE AUXILIARY PRACTICE FACILITY THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT.
