LOCATION

     The SEBA office is located at 1601 W. 44th Place Suite 3.  We are located behind Shopko in the Avera Sports Institute Building (white dome).  Our office number is 336-3462.  Our fax number 332-0944.

 

OFFICE HOURS

     We are open Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM January through May.  June through December we are open 9AM-12PM and after hours by appointment.  During the month of February, the office is open until 7PM on Friday evenings for registration.

 

REGISTRATIONS

     Registrations are available at the office or at Dakota Sports. Registrations are also sent home through the schools the end of January.   League registration forms and Rookie registration forms may also be printed off from the website.

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

     The registration deadline for 2008 is March 3rd for players 9 years and older and March 17th  for players 8 years and younger.  Registrations will be accepted after the deadline on a space available basis.  Late registrations are not eligible for the raffle ticket program.

     Fees for the leagues are as follows:

*Additional fees will apply to the VFW & Legion travel teams.  Parents have an option of fundraising the additional fees.

 

RAFFLE TICKET PROGRAM

     SEBA has a raffle to help offset the cost of registration for the families.  Families may pick up raffle tickets when they register at the office or if the mail in the registration, they may stop in at the office and pick up tickets.  $40.00 in raffle tickets are given to each registrant.  If you choose to sell the tickets, you keep the money which helps offset the cost of the registration.  You may also put your name on the tickets to be eligible for the drawing.  Ticket stubs must be turned in at the office before the drawing on May 19, 2008.  Late registrations are not eligible for the raffle ticket program.

 

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

     A scholarship program is available for those needing financial assistance. Participants on free or reduced lunch will automatically receive assistance.  Participants with special circumstances may also apply for a scholarship. Those applications may be approved by the board.  Proof of reduced or free lunch is required at the time of registration.   The registration fee for scholarship recipients is $40 and can be offset by selling raffle tickets.   SEBA also accepts Connecting Kids certificates.  Scholarships are not available after the registration deadline.   Scholarship application forms are available in the SEBA office.

 

UNIFORMS

     Players will receive a shirt and hat which they keep at the end of the season. Players are required to purchase their own pants.  Baseball pants must be gray in color. 

 

EQUIPMENT

     Teams are provided with all the necessary equipment to play except a glove.

SCHEDULES

     Practices will begin around the first of May.  Games will begin approximately the third week in May and the season will run through approximately third week in July.  Leagues are Monday-Wednesday and Tuesday-Thursday with some games Friday evenings or Saturday mornings based on team numbers and field availability.

 

LOST AND FOUND

     Lost and found is kept at each complex's concession stand or the office until the end of the season.  All items not claimed will be taken to Goodwill at the end of the season.
